Service Catalog

Define your MSP's standard services so you can quickly build deal quotes with consistent pricing.

Overview

The Service Catalog is an org-level library of the services your MSP sells — Managed Helpdesk, Managed Backup, Security, etc. — with default pricing. When you add line items to a deal, you can pick from the catalog to pre-fill the name, unit price, billing frequency, and category instead of typing them from scratch every time.

Setting Up the Catalog

Go to Settings → Service Catalog. Click Add service to create your first item. For each service you can specify:

  • Service name — e.g., "Managed Helpdesk"
  • Category — groups services in reports
  • Default unit price — e.g., $15.00 per user
  • Unit type — Per User, Per Device, Per Server, etc.
  • Billing frequency — Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-annual, or Annual
  • Active / Inactive — hide retired services without deleting them

Hover any row to edit or delete it inline. Changes take effect immediately for new deal line items (existing line items are not retroactively updated).

Deal Line Items

On any deal detail page, the Services & Line Items section lets you build out a service-by-service quote:

  • Click Add service
  • Optionally pick from your catalog — all defaults pre-fill instantly
  • Adjust quantity, price, or billing frequency as needed
  • The estimated MRR is calculated and shown in real time
  • The deal's Estimated MRR field updates automatically to the sum of all line items

You can also add custom services that aren't in the catalog — just leave the catalog picker empty and type the service name directly.

MRR Normalization

Line items billed on non-monthly frequencies are automatically normalized to a monthly equivalent for MRR calculations:

  • Quarterly price ÷ 3 = monthly equivalent
  • Semi-annual price ÷ 6 = monthly equivalent
  • Annual price ÷ 12 = monthly equivalent

This ensures all pipeline MRR figures are comparable regardless of billing cycle.
