Notifications

Stay informed about churn risk changes, upcoming renewals, overdue QBRs, @mentions, and more — all without leaving Breadbox.

How notifications work

Breadbox generates notifications automatically based on system events and team activity. Notifications appear in two places:

  • Bell icon in the header — shows your 15 most recent notifications with an unread count badge and a "View all" link
  • Notifications link in the sidebar (above Settings) — shows unread count badge and links to the full notification center

The Notification Center

Navigate to Support → Notifications in the sidebar to access the full Notification Center. Features:

  • All / Unread tabs — quickly switch between all notifications and just unread ones
  • Type filter — filter by notification type (Churn Risk Drop, Mention, etc.)
  • Search — search notification titles and body text
  • Bulk actions — select multiple notifications to mark as read or delete
  • Mark all read — one-click button to clear all unread notifications
  • Deep links — click "View" on any notification to jump directly to the related record

Task email digests

If you have one or more tasks assigned to you, Breadbox sends two daily email digests:

  • 8am UTC — Overdue digest: every task past its due date, batched into one email per user. Skipped on days you have no overdue tasks.
  • 9am UTC — Due-tomorrow digest: every task due the next calendar day (UTC), batched into one email per user. Skipped on days you have nothing due tomorrow.

Each digest is one email per user per category, listing every relevant task with priority, due date, and the linked account or deal. To silence them, mark tasks complete or push their due dates — the cron skips users with nothing to flag.

Notification preferences

You can enable or disable specific notification types in Settings → Notification Preferences. Alert rules (thresholds and timing) can be configured in Settings → Notification Preferences → Alert Rules.

Note: preferences currently persist in browser localStorage and govern in-app display only. Server-side preference enforcement (which would also stop email digests) is on the roadmap.
