Expense Tracking
Track sales and account management expenses per account for Cost to Acquire Client calculations.
Overview
Expenses can be logged on any account — meals, travel, gifts, events, software, marketing, or other. They feed into the Cost to Acquire Client (CAC) report and can be tracked per deal or per playbook enrollment.
Logging Expenses
Expenses can be logged in two ways:
- During playbook step completion: When completing a step in Focus Mode, enter the expense amount and notes alongside the time spent
- Direct logging: Use the expense tracking on the account to add standalone expenses with category, amount, date, and optional receipt
Categories
- Meal — Client lunches, dinners
- Travel — Mileage, flights, hotels
- Gift — Client gifts
- Event — Conferences, seminars
- Software — Demo licenses, trial tools
- Marketing — Collateral, swag

CAC Report
Total expenses per account are available in Reports → Cost to Acquire Client. The report shows CAC alongside MRR to calculate payback period: how many months of revenue it takes to recoup the acquisition cost.
