Notes & Comments

Add internal notes to any record — accounts, deals, contracts, and leads. Notes are for your team only and are separate from touchpoints (which track client interactions).

Where notes appear

The Notes panel appears on detail pages for:

  • Accounts — in the Overview tab, below the account details
  • Deals — on the deal detail page, above the Tasks section
  • Contracts — in the Activity tab, above Tasks
  • Leads — on the lead detail page, below Custom Fields

Adding a note

Type your note in the compose box at the top of the Notes panel and click Post Note. Notes support @mentions — type @ to see a dropdown of your team members. Mentioned users receive an in-app notification with a link to the record.

Pinning notes

Hover over any note to reveal the pin icon. Pinned notes float to the top of the list, regardless of when they were posted. This is useful for important context that every team member should see first — for example, “Client prefers email over phone” or “Budget conversation deferred to Q2.”

Editing and deleting

You can edit or delete your own notes by hovering over them and clicking the pencil or trash icons. You cannot edit or delete notes posted by other team members. Edits update the note in place; the original text is not preserved.
