Creating a goal

Navigate to Goals in the sidebar (under Business) and click New Goal. Set:

  • Name — a descriptive label (e.g., "Q2 MRR Target")
  • Type — what metric to track
  • Target value — the number to hit (e.g., $50,000 for MRR Target, or 10 for Deals Closed)
  • Period — Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual (auto-sets start/end dates)
  • Assigned to — leave empty for org-wide, or assign to a specific team member

How progress is calculated

Goal progress (currentValue) is recalculated automatically:

  • When you create or update a goal — immediate calculation
  • Daily at 6am UTC — Inngest cron recalculates all active goals
  • On-demand — click the refresh icon on any goal to recalculate instantly

Goal statuses

ON TRACK

Progress is at or above the expected pace for this point in the period.

AT RISK

Progress is falling behind the expected pace (below 80% of expected).

BEHIND

Significantly behind (below 50% of expected pace).

ACHIEVED

Current value has reached or exceeded the target.

Status is calculated based on linear pacing: if 50% of the period has elapsed, you should have at least 40% of the target to be “On Track” (80% pace threshold).

Viewing goals

The Goals page has two filter rows:

  • View filter — All Goals (org-wide + all assigned), My Goals (only yours), Team Goals (goals assigned to other team members)
  • Period filter — All Periods, Monthly, Quarterly, Annual

Admins and managers can use the Team Goals view to review progress across all assigned team members. Each goal card shows the assignee name (or “Org-wide” for unassigned goals) and the current status.

Goals in workspaces

When a goal is assigned to a team member, it automatically appears in their Workspace under the “My Goals” section. This applies to all workspace types (Account Manager, Sales, Account Manager, and Delivery). Goals show compact progress bars and status badges so team members can track their targets at a glance.

Dashboard widget

Add the Goals widget to your dashboard to see active goals with progress bars at a glance. Configure how many goals to show in the widget settings.
