Daily Briefing

Your daily command center — every action completable without leaving the page.

Overview

The Daily Briefing is your home page. It replaces the traditional dashboard with an actionable command center that tells you exactly what needs attention and lets you handle it inline — no navigation, no context switching.

Two surfaces: Changes & Actions

The briefing page has two surfaces that answer different questions:

  • Since you were here — situational awareness. What changed in your business while you were away.
  • Today's actions — the action list. What needs attention today.

Since you were here

The "Since you were here" rail sits above the action list and surfaces CRM-native events that happened since your last reviewed visit — up to the moment you click Mark all reviewed. Refreshing the page does not clear unreviewed changes; only the explicit acknowledgement does.

Ten detectors feed this rail:

  • Deal stage changed — one of your deals advanced to a new stage
  • Deal closed won / lost — celebrate wins, review losses
  • Inbound email — a contact at one of your accounts replied (requires Gmail/Outlook sync)
  • Meeting ended — a calendar event wrapped up — log notes while it's fresh
  • Churn risk jumped — an account's risk score rose 10+ points since your last visit
  • Playbook step completed — someone on the team finished a step on your accounts
  • Mention received — you were @mentioned in a note or comment
  • Task assigned — someone else assigned you a new TODO
  • Champion went cold — a champion contact dropped below 30 days of engagement

Every row has a one-click inline action appropriate to the event — Reply, Log notes, Why?, View, etc. — so you don't leave the briefing to handle a change. PSA-derived events (tickets, outages) are not surfaced yet; we only show what the CRM natively owns.

Action list — Signal Detectors

The action list below the rail runs signal detectors to tell you what needs attention:

  • Churn Risk Jump — Account's churn risk rose 10+ points in 7 days
  • Renewal Approaching — Contract renewal within 90 days
  • Quiet Account — No touchpoint past the preferred cadence
  • Stalled Prospect — Same sales stage for 14+ days
  • Playbook Step Due — Current step due today or overdue
  • Single-Threaded — Account has only 1 active contact relationship
  • Champion Risk — Champion contact hasn't been reached in 30+ days
  • Deal at Risk — Deal health score below 40 (deal-level score, separate from account churn risk)

Inline Actions

Every briefing item has a primary action that opens an inline form — right inside the card. No page navigation needed.

  • Log Touch — Contact picker, call type, subject, notes, duration
  • Advance Stage — Stage selector with available next stages
  • Complete Step — Time + expense + notes for playbook step
  • Create Deal — Quick deal creation for upsell opportunities
  • Schedule Meeting — Date shortcuts + contact picker

On successful completion, the card marks "Done" and fades. Items can also be dismissed ("Not relevant") to hide them for the session.

Priority Levels

  • Critical (red) — Immediate action: health RED + renewal, champion going cold 45d+
  • High (amber) — Today: overdue QBR, stalled high-ICP prospect, deal at risk
  • Medium (blue) — This week: touch due, playbook step, upsell opportunity
  • Low (gray) — Upcoming: contract anniversary, budget cycle

Caching

Briefing results are cached for 5 minutes. Completing an inline action refreshes the briefing automatically. The footer shows whether the current view is cached and when it was generated.
